The film aesthetic is unrivalled with its romantic and unique quality. Because of this, Kodak Super 8 and 16mm filmstock is our photographic medium of choice, combined authentically with vintage camera equipment.

There is a quality about analogue footage captured on celluloid film that is truly organic and impossible to replicate digitally. Images captured on film appear to have a greater depth and life to them; the ambience and soul of any scene seemingly captured during the chemical reaction that occurs when the film emulsion is exposed to light.

Fenland on Film are documenting modern day life in the Fens whilst also honouring our heritage – all with the unique medium of celluloid film.
